Martina Stepper completed her studies in spatial and environmental planning at the TU Kaiserslautern in February 2010. After graduating, she worked as a research assistant with a degree in urban sociology until she completed her doctorate as a doctoral scholarship holder of the IRTG on the topic: "Inner-city shopping location, qualification of inner-city retail locations against the background of increasing online shopping". Since 2014, she has been teaching and researching as a research assistant at the Chair of Urban Planning at RPTU.
