Mobility concept for the Kaiserslautern campus

An integrated mobility concept for the Kaiserslautern campus is being developed together with the IMOVE and FEM research groups. Based on an analysis phase on traffic systems, public space and traffic requirements, scenarios for future mobility on the campus are being developed. The focus of the Department of Urban Planning is on the analysis of public space: the qualities of open spaces and recreational areas, entrance situations, design elements and orientation points. A strengths and weaknesses analysis (SWOT) is drawn up on the basis of the inventory. Scenarios and objectives as well as specific recommendations for action will be derived from this. A subsequent phase of measures is scheduled to start in fall 2020.
