Working Group Spatial Planning UniGR-CBS
The working group “Spatial Planning” was founded within the framework of the University of the Greater Region (UniGR). It comprises researchers of the six partner universities who in their work explore planning cultures in a cross-border space. Members are keen to engage in dialogue with planning practitioners in the Greater Region (Lorraine/Grand Est, Luxembourg, Saarland, Rhineland-Palatinate and Wallonia).
Goals and Key Questions:
Marking the key issues are the different approaches and challenges for spatial planning in a cross-border context of today and tomorrow. The aim is to investigate in an experimental way what cross-border spatial planning could practically mean. By working with planning practitioners from all five regions of the Greater Region the exchange aims at creating a platform for reflection and to enable the identification of fields of activity as well as possible challenges for cross-border planning.
