International Staff Mobility
Staff Mobility via the Erasmus+ program
The Erasmus+ program promotes stays by guest lecturers at European partner universities ("staff mobility").
Through their stay, guest lecturers should contribute to expanding and enriching the range of courses offered by universities and impart their knowledge to students who are unable to participate in mobility programs. In addition, cooperation between the partner universities should contribute to the development of joint study programs and the exchange of teaching content and methods.
Advantages for lecturers include:
- Gaining experience in teaching and learning in the European education context
- Professional exchange and creation of new perspectives
- Strengthening your own skills
- Developing and deepening networks
- Getting to know and understanding cultures
The university can also benefit from the staff exchange. It enriches the culture and internationality of the campus, can position itself in the European education context and use its members as ambassadors.
For this reason, RPTU is also very interested in increasingly promoting staff mobility and thus strengthening "internationalization at home".
Generally, a stay at any European partner university with a valid ERASMUS Charter for Higher Education (ECHE) can be funded.
A detailed list of the partner universities of the Faculty of Spatial and Environmental Planning and the agreed periods of stay can be found in this list.
Those interested must fulfill the following points when applying:
- Informal request to the facultie's international coordinator, Prof. Karina Pallagst or the Erasmus+ coordinator, Beate Caesar
- Coordination of a teaching program (Teaching Assignment) with the host university before departure
- Check with the Department of International Affairs whether the teaching program can be approved
- Signing the "Erasmus Declaration of Acceptance" after approval
