Internship abroad

The faculty of Spatial planning and Environmental Planning does not organize internships abroad. There are different organisations and programmes which support internships abroad during and shortly after your studies.

Internship in Europe

An internship in Europe can be supported by the Erasmus+ programme. Also graduates and teaching assistants can be supported. This programme is organized by the EU Service-Point in Mainz.

The Erasmus internships can take place within Europe (= Member States of the EU as well as in Macedonia, Turkey, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway). The internship has to last at least 2 months and maximum 12 months.

Also teaching assistants can be supported. A teaching assistance has to comply with the same conditions.

The students have to organize their internship on their own. They need to be accepted by the host institution already before they apply for the ERASMUS support, because the confirmation of the foreign internship host must be submitted with the application.

Internship worldwide

If you are interested in doing an internship abroad outside the European continent, amongst others the programmes PROMOS (internship outside of Europe) and AIESEC/IAESTE (internship in and outside of Europe) might be of interest for you.
